The Croatian Rural Development Network will implement the project “European Corner – Together for Europe!”, with a total value of EUR 4,900.00, based on an agreement signed with the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia.
The project focuses on celebrating Europe Day through a series of interactive, educational and entertaining activities designed to bring the values of the European Union, its institutions, and the opportunities and programmes offered by the EU closer to citizens—particularly children and young people.
The activities are intended for members of the local community, with a particular focus on children and young people. The aim is to encourage a better understanding of EU-related topics and strengthen active citizenship in an accessible and engaging way.
The project seeks to increase awareness of the priorities of the European Union and the Republic of Croatia within the EU, while encouraging active, responsible and inclusive European citizenship. It also promotes intergenerational dialogue and strengthens the sense of belonging to the European community, with an emphasis on the fundamental values of the European Union: freedom, democracy, equality and solidarity.
The “European Corner – Together for Europe!” project consists of several activities that will take place during an event in Županja, including:
- an educational workshop for children;
- an EU knowledge quiz;
- interactive games;
- creative activities for citizens.
