From Januray 2010 HMRR is a member of European network PREPARE – Partnership for Rural Europe. Members of PREPARE are European and national organisations dealing with rural development and are members of the civil sector.
Goals of PREPARE include strengthening of civil society and encouraging exchange on the field of rural development, mainly in countries that are new members of EU, countries candidates and countries neighbouring Southeastern and Eastern Europe. Members of PREPARE gave a big contribution to establishing HMRR.
From June 2011 HMRR is a member of European LEADER Association for Rural Development (ELARD). ELARD is set up to improve the quality of life in rural areas and to maintain their population through sustainable, integrated local development. Today ELARDs members come from the following 24 countries: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, India, Italy, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Republic of Macedonia, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and United Kingdom.
The association works actively to make the LEADER approach better known among the European decision-makers in order to maintain its position as an essential part of the European Rural Development Policy.
Since August 2012 HMRR is a member of Rural Development Network which is a part of Croatian Ministry of Agriculture.
Goals of the Netowrk are increasing the involvement of stakeholders in the implementation of rural development, improving the quality of rural development programs, informing the general public and potential beneficiaries on rural development policy and encourage innovation in agriculture. Rural Development Network promotes cooperation and mutual assistance between the individuals and organizations involved in rural development. Its mission is to integrate and unite all those who are at various levels involved in rural development.
From September 2014 HMRR is a member of Balkan Rural Development Netowrk (BRDN).
BRDN was founded in 2013, and its establishment was encouraged by Regional Rural Development Standing Working Group (SWG) of South Eastern Europe whose members are Ministries of agriculture from ex-yu countries, except Slovenia and Croatia who have an observer’s status.
Members are rural development networks of Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Croatia, Macedonia, Kosovo, Srbia, while Bulgarian RDN has an observer’s status.
