The Croatian Rural Development Network has been approved for the implementation of the project “Promotion of the Added Value of the LEADER Approach through Local Stories of LAGs”, submitted under the Call for Proposals for Activities of the National CAP Network in 2026.
The project has been approved under promotional activities, with the aim of strengthening the visibility of the LEADER approach and presenting its added value through concrete local stories, projects and results achieved in the areas covered by Local Action Groups.
The project will present practical examples showing how LAGs, through local development strategies and LAG calls for proposals, contribute to the development of rural areas, the connection of local stakeholders, the encouragement of local initiatives and the transformation of development ideas into concrete projects.
Eight LAGs are involved in the implementation of the activity:
- LAG Vuka-Dunav
- LAG Izvor
- LAG Sjeverna Bilogora
- LAG Una
- LAG Terra Liburna
- LAG Sjeverna Istra
- LAG Zagora
- LAG Škoji
For each participating LAG, video material will be produced to present one local story, project, beneficiary or example of good practice that demonstrates the added value of the LEADER approach in the field.
The project aims to bring the role of LAGs in the implementation of the LEADER approach closer to the general public and potential beneficiaries, and to show the concrete contribution this approach makes to the development of rural communities.
The activity is co-financed by the National CAP Network.
