About the association

Local action group "Central Istria" is an NGO founded by local authorities (City of Pazin, Municipalities of Cerovlje, Gračišće, Karojba, Lupoglav, Motovun, Sv. Petar u Šumi and Tinjan), representatives from private sector and representatives from civic sector from the Central Istria. Apart from the 8 municipalities mentioned, as of May 2015, it also includes City of Poreč and Municipalities of Funtana, Sveti Lovreč, Višnjan, Vrsar and Žminj. Total area covered is 872,06 square kilometers and according to 2011 Census it has 44,386 inhabitants.
